CECI
MORALES-ENRIQUEZ

Hi, I’m Ceci (seh-SEE) — short for Cecilia.

I’m a multidisciplinary designer and art director based in Detroit, MI, originally from Mexico. My work is driven by storytelling, experimentation, and bold visual thinking, shaped by a lifelong love of creating.

I’m currently earning a BFA in Communication Design & Strategy with a minor in Photography at the College for Creative Studies. I’m most passionate about advertising, photography, motion, and branding. I hope to create impactful ad campaigns that resonate and stick with every person who comes into contact with them. My process is focused on experimentation and storytelling, always continuing to ideate and play.

When I am not designing, you will find me searching through every aisle at the thrift store for my next statement piece, collecting trinkets, or waiting for the next karaoke night out with my friends.

06 AFG APP CONCEPT
UI/UX

Winter 2025The objective of this project was to create an app that could help communicate with victims and women who needed help more efficiently to Alternative for Girls Detroit. AFG Detroit is a non-profit that focuses on helping women who are homeless or at risk of domestic violence by giving them shelter and the resources they need to avoid dangerous situations. In this project, understanding how to create a cohesive look that reflected the non-profits branding as well as solving a pain point of their organization was the number one thing on the list. The first part of this project involved understanding the potential personas who would use this app. To do this research, an interview with the non-profit was needed. The non-profit talked about their struggles as an organization, what their mission goals were, and what different women and their situations were like. After the interview process and refining my personas, I knew what objective I wanted to convey for the app. I began sketching possible solutions as well as wire-framing the flow and user experience. It was essential to create an app that was user-friendly and quickly resolved the issue a potential user might encounter. Because of this, a survey was made after the sign-up page to direct the women to the right page they needed to be on. The app consists of four different pages that tackle a communication pain point. There is an SOS page that directly calls the police in case of a domestic violence situation, where talking on the phone could make the situation worse. The survey at the beginning becomes even more prevalent at this stage because it uses the information it gathered to assess the right information to inform authorities about. The second page is a resource tab, in which all the different links the non-profit offers are sectioned off by different problems for easy access. The third page is a housing sign up page where women can directly sign up for lower cost housing that is provided by AFG. On the last page is a direct chat with AFG. If the users' problems cannot be solved by the first three pages, or they would like personal help, a direct chat option is available for users to talk to. In this brief, higher knowledge of a UI system, coding via Phoenix code, cohesive story telling, and problem solving were gained.
